Moong Vadi is sun Dried nuggets made of moong dal & yellow lentils. They are prepared by soaking the dal and grinding it with spices without any water.


Ingredients of Protinwala Sundried Moong Dal Vadi/Nugget : Moong Dal, Chickpeas, Coriander Seeds, Green Chilies, Salt, Garlic, Curry Leaves. Cloves….


Dish Preparation step by step.

Preparation time 05 minute  Cook Time 15 minutes, Total Time 20 Minutes. Serving 3 peoples, Calories 231 kcl.

Ingredients for grinding :- 01. Tomato 02.Green Chilies 03.01 tbsp ginger chopped, 01 tbsp garlic chopped.

Ingredients for Curry:
3 tbsp vegetable oil, ½ cup Protinwala Sun dried Moong Dal vadi/Nuggets, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 01 black cardamom, ¼ cup onion, finally chopped, 1 tsp red chilly powder, 1 tsp coriander powder .1/2 tsp garam masala, 11/2 water, 1 stalk of coriander .

Instructions for dish preparation.
0   1)   For grinding  - To a blender jar add tomato, green chili, ginger and garlic.
     B) Pulse until it reaches to smooth and silky texture. And set aside.
      C)    Set aside.

02. For the curry.
·         Over a low medium heat, place a pan. Add vegetable oil
·         Once the oil become warm, add a batch of moong dal vadi nugets and fry till it becomes golden brown.
·         Transfer to a kitchen towel and set aside. Fry the remaining batches as well.
·         In the same and over the medium heat,  add cumin seeds and cardamom.
·         Waite for 30 seconds or until cumin seeds slightly changes its color.
·         Now add chopped onion and cook until it becomes soft and moist.
·         Add ground tomato paste and saute until the mixture becomes the thick and the garlick becomes fragrant.
·         Next stir it will red chilly powder, coriander powder,  Garam Masala.
·         Now Add 11/2 cup of fresh water and salt . Bring it to boil.
·         Once the spices get cooked.The curry leaves out raw flavor ,add fried moong wadi.
·         Cook for another two minutes.
·         Garnish with Cilantro. Serve hot with rice or chapati.
